Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer
Summary:
We are looking to expand our development team with a great Sr. Design EE. You will design new and enhanced PCBs, add new features, write embedded low-level drivers, assemble and test product hardware, design and build test fixtures, and debug and fix issues on the designs created.
Responsibilities:
1. Hardware ownership: Specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematics, prototype, validation, and manufacturing of circuit boards.
2. Review layout concepts to finalize electrical scope.
3. Transform concept layouts/designs into circuit designs.
4. Thoroughly document design requirements, calculations, power budgets, etc.
5. Design hardware including MPU, memory, and FPGA.
6. Incorporate control systems into small single-board solutions.
7. Contribute to gathering, evaluating, and updating hardware and driver requirements specifications.
8. Prototype and validate new designs.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
2. 5-10+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering desired.
3. 5+ years' of relevant experience in:
1. Autodesk Eagle, Altium, or similar CAD tools.
2. Designing in Verilog and associated tools.
3. Designing for FPGA and ASIC.
4. Practical coding experience in C and Assembly.
5. 3-5 years' in LabView design and code experience.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in electrical engineering.
2. LabView development experience.
3. Instruments Certified Architect (CLM) or Developer (CLP).
4. Java programming experience.
