Job Title: Band 6/7/8 Pharmacist (Locum)
The opportunity to oversee the daily operations of a dispensary, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centred pharmaceutical services is now available.
This is an exciting chance for an experienced pharmacist to work in a locum position within the NHS in Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for final accuracy checking within our Pharmacy Dispensary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and professional standards during prescription dispensing.
* Develop policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives for the dispensary.
* Provide clinical advice and support to staff and healthcare professionals.
* Manage stock control, procurement, and formulary compliance within the dispensary.
* Comply with medicines management and governance frameworks.
* Collaborate with other departments to enhance integration and efficiency across pharmacy services.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 6 months paid NHS experience or similar is required.
* UK residency is necessary.
What We're Looking For:
* Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or management is desirable.
* Significant post-registration experience in hospital or community pharmacy, including experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Proven track record in managing dispensary operations and delivering service improvements.
* Organizational skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of medicines legislation and good dispensing practice.
* Ability to inspire and motivate a team while maintaining high professional standards.
