Research Project Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term)
Location: Cambridge / Closing date: February 16, 2025
The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) is a highly interdisciplinary research centre working on many of the most pressing issues of our modern world. Research at CFI is focused on the challenges and opportunities posed by the future development of artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term. It is part of the Institute for Technology and Humanity (ITH), in the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Cambridge.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at CFI and work closely with our team of researchers, and with the friendly professional services team across ITH.
The role includes, but is not limited to providing tailored coordination, events and budget planning support to ensure the smooth-running of projects. You will work closely with the Centre for Drones and Culture, which examines how drones are impacting the way we see and relate to the world, including art, war, humanitarianism, and the environment, and Desirable Digitalisation, which focuses on how Artificial Intelligence can be designed in a way that takes into account questions of social justice and environmental sustainability. You will also offer timely and effective support for new grant applications across ITH.
You will be well-organised with a positive, flexible approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines. You will have excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with administrative colleagues, research staff, and other stakeholders.
This role is part time (0.8 FTE) and will be fixed term until 30 September 2027.
The closing date is midnight (GMT) on Sunday 16 February 2025 and interviews are planned for the week commencing 3 March 2025, subject to change.
