A look into the role
Working as part of a team, you will provide an efficient service to the various warehouse functions of Henderson Group, to ensure the highest level of service to our customers.
The successful applicant will be based in Henderson Foodservice, however the role may require work across all Henderson Group warehouses, so flexibility and adaptability are key to be successful.
The role will work across all warehouse functions, to include forklift duties, inbound, picking/assembly, loading, returns, manual handling equipment, and general duties.
Due to the nature of the tasks, even when using manual handling equipment, the role requires the successful candidate to undertake duties which involve pulling, pushing, lifting and manoeuvring heavy cages, boxes, packs, and equipment.
The role will be undertaken in any of our ambient, chilled, and frozen warehouses.
Skills for Success
Joining us as Group Operative the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
• Previous experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse, production, or manual/trade working environment
• Experience of accurately meeting performance targets
• Experience of working in a pressurised environment
• Able to work within varied temperatures, to include ambient, chilled, and freezer
The attributes you’ll need include:
• Able to attend shifts on time and in full, and have a travel mode that enables this
• Reliability and dependability in accordance with absence policies
• Demonstrate ability to work well alone and as well as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ambitiious and willing to learn new skills to help with various tasks in the warehouse.
It is Desirable if you had:
• Counterbalance forklift license
• Knowledge of warehouse processes
• Experience in operating a pallet truck
• Experience in paper based assembly
• Experience in paper based replenishment
