Validation and Administrative Support Worker

We are looking for someone to join our team to support us to:
1. Monitor the 18 week Referral to Treatment (RTT) data collection, identifying inaccuracies, inconsistencies and gaps; improving data quality by correcting data and by supporting operational staff in their data collection processes.
2. Validate regular RTT Patient Tracking List (PTL) reports relating to RTT; reporting results/findings where appropriate.
3. Provide support with specific administrative functions.
4. Assist operational staff in their understanding of RTT pathways rules and guidance.
Please note this is a fixed term 12 month vacancy.

Main duties of the job
You will need to demonstrate a good level of understanding in relation to the RTT standard.
Previous experience of RTT validation is preferred but not essential - Any knowledge will be developed to our local pathways with training and support from the Data Quality Team. In addition, you will need to demonstrate good IT skills and be able to adapt to different software packages.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE English Language and Maths Grade C or equivalent.
Experience
* Experience of working in the NHS.
* Experience of working in a team including clerical/office experience.
* Experience of prioritising workload.
* Understanding of RTT targets and pathways including clinics and waiting list management.
* Knowledge of Data Protection Act/GDPR.
* Working knowledge of Patient Administration Systems.
* Knowledge of secondary care within a hospital setting.
* Aware of Electronic Referral Systems and Electronic Patient Records.
Skills
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively by verbal and written means.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent computer skills including the ability to use MS Office packages.
* Deal confidently with clinicians, managers and colleagues.
* Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
* Competent and confident to work autonomously or under supervision.
