Position Summary:
The role involves carrying out Routine Mechanical Maintenance of Rolling Stock, focusing on mechanical maintenance and component changes. This position is key for the safe and reliable running of the fleet.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to develop skills within the Rail industry, with potential for permanent placement and career progression.
Responsibilities:
1. Work from written instructions (VMI)
2. Interpret Mechanical Engineering drawings, adhering to specific measurements
3. Replace mechanical components according to engineering drawings
4. Conduct routine fleet checks to ensure safe operation
5. Perform oil changes
Person Profile:
1. Able to complete manual work
2. Able to work shifts
3. Possess a mechanical understanding/background
4. Able to work within a team
5. Able to adhere to strict work orders
6. Comply with HSE guidelines
Qualifications:
No formal qualification is required, but NVQ 2 or above is preferred.
