💸Salary: up to £55,000 per annum dependant on experience.

👇ABOUT YOU
🔗You will have 5+years of experience in demand forecasting (SI &OP), stock analysis, supply chain management, plus first-hand project management experience.
🎓You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. Ideally, just qualified or qualifying for a professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CSCD)
💪You have strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Proficiency in forecasting and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, StockTrim, Microsoft Excel) and experience with statistical forecasting methods and techniques.
🔎Your communication skills will be excellent and have ability to collaborate effectively across various departments. Your experience will mean that you have strong project management and organizational skills and you are a strategic thinker, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
📊THE ROLE
The Forecasting & Stock Controller will be overseeing inventory management operations, ensuring efficient stock levels and smooth supply chain processes. They will be developing strategies to optimise inventory, reduce costs, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Roles & Responsibilities
📦Inventory Management & Optimisation:
o Ensure accurate stock levels across all locations.
o Develop strategies to minimize stock discrepancies.
o Implement inventory control systems and best practices.
o Track stock levels and movement.
o Identify trends, slow-moving stock, and potential stock shortages.
o Optimising working capital requirements.
o Review of Weekly Sales, Stock & Intake (WSSI) reporting & planning controls
o Supplier lead-time impact on stock holding, safety stocks, forward cover
o Impact of bill-of-material project items and velocity of items within project materials
o Management of replacement / spare parts – where applicable
o Investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
o Conduct audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
📈Demand Forecasting & Supplier Coordination:
* Manage the end-to-end SI&OP Process.
* Analyse sales trends to forecast future inventory needs, taking into account seasonality, holidays and supplier shut-downs.
* Collaborate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock availability.
* Negotiate contracts and lead times with vendors.
* Coordinate with SI&OP Analyst, Procurement and Supply Chain Teams.
👍Auditing & Compliance:
* Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
* Implement measures to reduce stock losses and theft.
🤝Team Leadership & Process Improvement:
* Supervise Supply Chain Team, Procurement and manage third-party fulfilment.
* Train employees on inventory procedures and software use.
* Optimize inventory processes using automation and technology.
* Identify inefficiencies in stock management.
* Implement automation or better stock-tracking methods.
💷Reporting & Budgeting:
* Generate reports on stock performance, turnover rates, and costs.
* Work with finance and operations teams to manage inventory budgets.
