About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and professional High Net Worth Claims Handler to manage and process claims for our high net worth clients. In this role, you will ensure the efficient and effective handling of claims for valuable assets. You will be expected to provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
How you'll contribute:
Key Responsibilities:
* Claims Management:
o Oversee the full lifecycle of high-value claims from notification to settlement, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
o Conduct thorough investigations into claims, liaising with clients, loss adjusters, and other parties to gather relevant information.
o Ensure that claims are handled in accordance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
* Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with high net worth clients to understand their needs and concerns.
o Provide clear and consistent communication to clients throughout the claims process, offering updates and addressing any questions or issues promptly.
* Risk Assessment and Analysis:
o Assess the validity of claims and determine the appropriate level of compensation based on policy terms and conditions.
o Work closely with insurers, brokers, and loss adjusters to evaluate claims and reach fair settlements.
* Negotiation:
o Negotiate settlements with clients, insurers, and third parties to ensure fair compensation for all parties.
o Use your expertise to resolve disputes and disagreements regarding claims, working towards amicable solutions.
* Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of all claims, correspondence, and actions taken within the claims management system.
o Prepare reports and documentation for senior management or regulatory bodies when necessary.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated with industry trends, insurance policies, and legal regulations to provide expert advice to clients.
o Identify opportunities for improving claims processes and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Experience:
o Proven experience in claims handling, particularly in high net worth or private client insurance.
o Experience with complex and high-value insurance products such as high-value home, fine art, jewellery, and luxury vehicles.
* Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
o Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
o High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Knowledge:
o In-depth knowledge of high net worth insurance policies, underwriting, and claims processes.
o Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the insurance industry.
* Qualifications:
o A relevant qualification in insurance (CII or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
