About Us:
Our Primary School in Bishop Auckland provide an inspiring, nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to thrive. We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) on a 1:1 basis.
What You’ll Do:
* Provide personalised support to a child in the EYFS setting.
* Help implement tailored learning strategies that meet the child’s individual needs.
* Assist with classroom activities to promote learning and development.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Work alongside the class teacher and other staff to monitor progress and adapt teaching techniques.
* Be a trusted role model, offering emotional support and encouragement.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with young children (preferably in an educational setting).
* A caring, patient, and understanding approach to working with children.
* The ability to adapt teaching strategies to support individual needs.
* A passion for supporting children’s emotional, social, and academic growth.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Education is desirable (but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
