Working at Deliciously Ella We have around 75 team members across two sites. Our Head Office is based in the heart of central London, on Tottenham Court Road, and this is where our Leadership Team work, alongside our Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing and People teams. Our factory site near Milton Keynes produces some of our best-loved products like our energy balls, caramel cups, nut butter bites and dipped nuts. What are we looking for? We are looking for someone bright and dynamic to join our team as a Grocery National Account Manager responsible for looking after our Deliciously Ella range within some of our largest UK grocery customers (likely to be likely be Morrisons, Tesco, Ocado and Co-op, depending on experience). Our Grocery business has grown significantly over the past few years, and we now operate across numerous categories. We are looking for someone who can manage multiple relationships, has strong commercial acumen, and can think strategically to realise opportunities for both our retailers & our business. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact; managing some key customer relationships and growing the business significantly: making delicious food, made from 100% natural ingredients more widely available in the UK. Purpose of the role Inputting on, delivering and evolving the strategy for Deliciously Ella grocery in collaboration with the sales and category teams. Owning the relationship with your customers across multiple categories, making sure you understand our brand and our goals whilst working collaboratively with them to deliver against their needs. Building & owning your customer P&Ls and forecasts, delivering against financial targets and reporting effectively on channel performance and opportunities, going after every opportunity at full speed whilst maintaining sustainable margins Working with the category team and commercial finance in developing and executing optimal pricing and promotional strategies Managing day to day account management admin for your customers such as forecasting, promotions, invoice approvals and accruals, New line forms, competitor tracking Working closely with our Senior Category Manager to understand shopper data and build compelling category stories to grow our business; selling in products & increasing our distribution Tracking and analysing EPOS performance, identifying trends or problem areas and putting an action plan in place to overcome these Working cross functionally with sales, category, marketing, finance and supply to deliver our customer strategy and numbers targets, suggesting ways to adapt and change our processes where relevant Being the voice of your customer: keep the business informed with relevant account & competitor developments. Be the champion of your customer internally Maximising opportunities within the channel to drive brand awareness and product trial with high visibility placements on secondary space & great shopper marketing activation. Your team You’ll report into Ella Oates, Head of Grocery and be working closely with Phoebe Averdieck (Grocery Commercial Team) and Bea Miles (our brilliant Senior Category Manager). What you will bring (skills and experience) To be successful in this role you will have: Experience – 2 years’ experience in account management in fast moving consumer goods. Experience managing a Top 4 grocery account is essential. Passion for selling – a dynamic and passionate salesperson, tough negotiation skills, passion and enthusiasm for the brand. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and hungry to deliver growth sustainably and profitably. Strong Commercial Acumen – solid P&L understanding, strong commercial acumen and able to focus on maintaining profitability as well as driving the top line. You will be able to use and analyse data to drive insight and action and understand the importance of accurate forecasting and financial planning. Great people skills – You need to connect and work with lots of different stakeholders internally and externally. You will need strong people skills to build solid relationships with our retailers to help us achieve results quickly. Strategic thinking – You will be highly strategic, knowing the right moves to make and finding creative solutions to drive growth for your customers. Self-starter – pro-active, able to spin many plates and not afraid to challenge the status quo. This role will involve effective time management, and you will be great at juggling conflicting priorities to get work done efficiently and effectively. Team player – able to work effectively and collaboratively with internal teams and lend a helping hand when needed to contribute positively the team culture.
