We specialise in electrical power infrastructure, grid connections and renewable energy generation. Due to our continuing success, we have a pipeline of work into 2025 and beyond. We Are Recruiting For An Independent Director We currently have 125 employees and became employee owned almost five years ago with strong ambitions for future growth. We are now refreshing and rebalancing our trustee board and are looking for a second Independent Director. This is an exciting time to join the EOT as we implement our plans for sustainable growth. Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to: Represent the interests of employees as owners Protect the values of the Company over the long-term Provide advice, support and guidance to fellow trustees Contribute to discussions from a position of neutrality Ensure that the Company board understand their accountabilities to the trust Support the delivery of robust governance Bring expertise and knowledge of other business models, cultures and organisations; and, Be able to think differently and challenge thinking in a constructive manner Here’s what you need to be successful in the role: Considerable experience of participating in and leading balanced discussions in board meetings; Experience of working in or with employee-owned businesses; and, Commercial experience of working in or with companies of a similar size and with a similar employee profile (both office and site based) and therefore have an understanding of the challenges the Company directors face There are currently four directors on the trustee board, three employee directors and an independent director. The board meets regularly once a quarter and additionally as circumstances require. Participation is usually remote and the time commitment for each quarterly meeting, include preparation and follow-up, is around eight hours. This is a remunerated role.
