ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be the face of Radio News Hub within your patch, building strong relationships and driving commercial success. You’ll work closely with media agencies & brands to expand our reach and maximise revenue opportunities. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, strategic, and passionate about radio, media, podcasts and digital content. You’ll play a key role in spotting new opportunities, and ensuring Radio News Hub remains a top choice for agencies & advertisers in the UK and worldwide.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and implement a sales strategy to increase market share and revenue growth
* Build and nurture strong relationships with media agencies and brands
* Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the radio and digital audio landscape
* Own your patch (North UK or South UK), ensuring regular engagement with key decision-makers and stakeholders
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver creative and customised solutions for clients
* Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activities, and market shifts to refine sales strategies
* Provide regular reporting on sales performance, progress against targets, and growth opportunities
* Work closely with the commercial director, editorial, and production teams to align sales efforts with content strategy

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Proven media sales experience, ideally in radio or digital audio
* Strong network of contacts to enable you to hit the ground running
* Desire to work towards a sales target with a passion for generating business
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A proactive and strategic approach to sales and business development
* Understanding of the UK media marketplace and the role of audio & digital channels
* Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with internal teams
