A bit about us: South Wilts Grammar School is an 11 to 18 selective grammar school that became an Academy on 1st January 2011. From September 2020, we became co-educational in the sixth form, taking boys onto roll. There are currently 118 4 students on roll, including 388 in the sixth form. All about the role: We are looking to appoint a full-time Site Manager to lead and manage the site team and related services, delivering the priorities and outcomes sought by the school in a cost effective and efficient manner. The successful candidate will contribute to the formulation and implementation of the school’s estates strategy and Long Term Maintenance Plan (LTMP) and will manage all aspects of the school property upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety and facilities manage-ment in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will manage refurbish-ments and other building improvements in terms of development and procurement and to act as the school representative with contractors and manage all lettings. Applicants will need to be both flexible and adaptable, and able to respond to emergency situations as well as planned events and works. On site bungalow accommodation may be available by negotiation if desired by the success-ful candidate. Responsibilities will include site security encompassing locking up in the evenings and after lets, working with the Business Manager on the school’s estate strategy, LTMP and site development and improvement, general maintenance of buildings and fixtures and fittings, management of all let-tings on site, ensuring premises compliance checks are completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and appropriate risk assessments are in place, dealing with emergencies such as intruder and fire alarms, leaks, floods and adverse weather.
