Planning Partner / Legal Director- Nottingham or Birmingham- Hybrid
Salary: £90,000 - £125,000

We’re looking for a seasoned Planning Partner or Legal Director to take on a pivotal role in our planning department, working with prominent clients in the property sector. Responsibilities:
* Manage client and matter files in full compliance with Lexcel and SRA requirements
* Offer expert advice to a diverse client base, including housebuilders, commercial developers, and landowners
* Negotiate and draft complex s106 agreements, including those relating to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements
* Provide strategic insights on planning legislation, NPPF/PPG, and relevant case law
* Carry out legal proceedings efficiently and effectively to protect clients' interests
* Contribute to business development initiatives, fostering new and existing client relationships
Skills and Experience Required:
* At least 6 years PQE in private practice, with solid knowledge of local government and planning law
* Ability to handle a variety of planning matters independently and collaborate on more complex cases
* Strong understanding of planning law in relation to Biodiversity Net Gain and the Environment Act 2021
* Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills
* Proven track record in business development, with a natural aptitude for building client relationships
* Experience working with developers and landowners, with the ability to understand and address their broader real estate needs
