GSL Education are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Full-Time Drama/Performing Arts Teacher at a dynamic and creative secondary school in Portsmouth. This inspiring role is set to begin in September 2025 and offers a generous annual salary between £30,000 and £50,000, depending on experience. A fixed-term contract will be offered following the successful completion of a probation period. This role is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators ready to ignite a passion for the performing arts.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality and engaging Drama and Performing Arts lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Foster creativity, collaboration, and confidence in students through performance and expression.
* Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and individual student needs.
* Lead or support extracurricular productions, workshops, and school performances.
* Encourage a respectful, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
Requirements:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
* Specialism or experience in Drama, Theatre Studies, or Performing Arts.
* Strong subject knowledge and a flair for engaging lesson delivery.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A genuine passion for the arts and a desire to nurture young talent.
* Open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and seasoned educators.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
