ILS Manager Industry: Defence & Aerospace Location : Bristol, BS34 7QS Onsite: 4-5 days per week The Opportunity: Europe’s 1 Integrated Defence Company seeks an influential Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to oversee the design and development of supportability solutions for next-gen missile and weapons systems. The Role: You’ll be responsible for ensuring the readiness and efficiency of complex systems through the development and execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) strategies. Your key focus will be on optimising performance, managing costs, and meeting quality objectives while fostering strong collaboration across diverse teams. You will also work alongside multidisciplinary engineering groups to integrate logistics seamlessly into the design and development process, ensuring that supply chain, maintenance, and training solutions are effective and well-established. Through a strategic approach to cost and risk management, you'll deliver sustainable, cost-effective support and ensure smooth customer operations through thorough documentation and training. Essential Requirements: Strong experience in engineering or related technical disciplines, with a focus on logistics within complex systems. A degree in a numerate or technical field is highly preferred. In-depth knowledge of military logistics, particularly in the context of weapon systems support, ideally gained within the defence or aerospace sectors. Familiarity with predictive logistics models and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) is a key asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and cooperation across teams. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong prioritization skills to navigate fast-paced and dynamic work environments effectively. Experience in developing comprehensive logistics plans, ranging from supply chain management to customer support. Skilled in enhancing bids and ensuring contract delivery through strategic product support and cost-effective logistics solutions. Benefits Package: Base salary: Up to £65,000 (DoE) Annual Bonus: Up to 21% Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension: Pension 14% (6% Employee and 8% Employer) Share Incentive Plan: Opportunity to purchase shares via payroll before tax and NI.
