Job Purpose
To assist the Group Financial Controller in the production and review of the monthly Consolidated Management Accounts (including Budgets and Forecasts) and provide support to the wider group finance function.

Job Overview
You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and other members of the Group Finance team in the production of a monthly M.I pack to include a profit and loss account, balance sheet, funds flow statement, KPI statistics and a commentary highlighting key variances (against plan) and insight, at both group level and within each individual trading entity. Assist in the production of a Group wide annual budget and updated quarterly forecasts throughout the financial year.
You will be well organised and knowledgeable of accounting principles, be flexible to information requests from external departments, work closely and support other members of the Group Finance team in addition to establishing effective working relationships with Finance Controllers across group subsidiaries.
You will identify enhancements to processes, systems and routines to improve the quality and timeliness of the management accounts and assist in implementing them.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the preparation of the consolidated monthly M.I pack for comparison against Budget/Forecast, highlighting and reporting variances
• Assist the Group Financial Controller with regular reviews of each subsidiary M.I
• Reconciliation of key inter-company control accounts
• Assist with the preparation of other financial reporting information
• Assist in the budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes
• Checklist review of all month-end reconciliations across the Group
• Coordinate support for finance system users across the Group through the internal IT service desk and with external software supplier support where necessary. Maintain user profiles & other system admin duties
• Assist the Technical Reporting Manager with preparation for the annual year end audit of the financial statements and the application/adoption of group policies and procedures
• Assist the Group Financial Performance Manager with the consolidation of KPI data
• Variety of ad hoc analysis and reporting tasks as and when required by the Group

• Can demonstrate a sound knowledge of financial reporting policies and procedures
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organise, manipulate and present large volumes of data using Excel spreadsheets
• Lead by example demonstration best practice to subsidiary finance teams
Qualifications
• Part / Fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent) or studying towards its achievement.
