Job summary
This post is within Community Urgent Response Team (CURT) and involves supporting the Service and Operational Leads in providing dynamic, professional leadership within the designated service structure in Unplanned Services. The post holder will be responsible for managing and monitoring core functions within CURT. They will actively support the team leader in providing information and performing delegated management tasks. They will also maintain a clinical function within CURT. In managing CURT, the post holder will be expected to operate autonomously to deal with the day to day management issues, adhering to policies and procedures to support the band 7 Team lead. This will include escalation to the Operational Lead/Matron where appropriate. The post holder will be accessible and have a visible presence, advising and supporting CURT, patients and their families/ carers to ensure effective patient care across the whole patient pathway. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all staff are fully competent and possess the appropriate clinical skills to deliver a high standard of care to our patients.
Main duties of the job
To manage and take continued responsibility for the day to day running of the Community Urgent Response Team.
Delegation, management and supervision of workload of other staff within the team.
Responsibility for identifying own training needs.
Carrying out PADRs of those grades reporting to the jobholder.
Provide a structured induction and training programme for new members of staff.
Work clinically as needed to assist with the operational pressures of the service.
Participate in the recruitment process.
