We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experienced Housing Support Worker to join our team, which provides a housing-related support service for people aged 16 and over in the Rhondda and Cynon areas.
This is a permanent role, working full time (36 hours per week) between Monday-Friday only and covering the Cynon area. This position offers hybrid working.
What you'll do
This role will be key in providing a personalised informed service in accordance with our service users’ needs. You will be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy by assisting them with daily living skills to remain as independent as possible.
What you'll need
You will need a full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs. You will have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.
A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
