7am-10am and 3pm-8pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time

Pay: Pay Rate 1: £14.12 per hour, Monday to Friday, Days
Pay Rate 2: £15.30 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays, Days
Pay Rate 3: £17.23 per hour, Monday to Thursday, Waking Nights,10pm to 7am
Pay Rate 4: £National Living Wage per hour, Monday to Thursday, Sleeping Nights, 11pm to 7am
Pay Rate 5: £19.80 per hour, Friday to Sunday and Bank Holidays, Waking Nights, 10pm to 7am
Pay Rate 6: £National Living Wage + £1 per hour, Friday to Sunday and Bank Holidays, Sleeping Nights, 11pm to 7am
Overtime rate for permanent staff - £3.00 per hour on top of the normal hourly pay rate for any shifts worked as overtime.Enhanced pay during the Festive Period - time and a half the normal hourly rate for any hours worked with the Client from 2pm on 24th December to 7.30am on 27th December and from 2pm on 31st December to 7.30am on 2nd January.
Driver: Desirable but not essential, will need reliable transport to ensure on time for shifts and to attend training
Driving Client's Car: May be required to drive our client's Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV), automatic. This is not essential. Training can be provided.
Essential Experience: Experience working with young adults and with cerebral palsy and seizures. Relevant experience of working with young adults or applicants who have worked in a supportive/SEND school. Full Training will be provided for successful applicants.
Desirable: Previous experience of providing hands on care and support to enable independence

This fulfilling role includes helping with fun activities and hobbies, supporting new experiences, learning and college life.
The team work alongside her family, in the family home in Fareham. They ensure she is safe, having lots of fun and giggles and encourage her independence as much as possible. Her team work together to enable her to live her life to the full!
This role requires a person who is happy to provide personal care, use moving and handling equipment and assist with mealtimes and medication administration. They will be required to provide emergency seizure care for her epilepsy, if needed (after training) and daily physiotherapy stretches due to her Cerebral Palsy. Full training will be provided for successful applicants.
The Support Worker will support her and her family with everyday family life. They will be required to work independently, but with back up immediately available if required. She requires help with all activities of daily living and will also require help to enable her to access leisure, social and learning activities. She greatly enjoys baking, art and crafts, fresh air and walks, music and watching films.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join a dedicated home care team and develop existing skills and support this very special young lady. This a truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively as well as an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.
