F & I Manager Responsibilities:
1. Work directly with customers to explain and recommend financing options, extended warranties, aftermarket products and other options.
2. Processing applications for vehicle financing and helping customers attain financing approvals.
3. Verifying that all paperwork is completed correctly and filed properly.
4. Maintaining strong relationships with lending institutions providing program options and competitive rates.
5. Identify monthly scheduled deliveries from DTNA using shipping data (Vagus).
6. Provide delivery forecast updates to VP Sales/Sales Director as needed.
7. Coordinate with customer funding method of factory delivered units.
8. Monitor daily PDI updates from Service Shop, resolve PDI issues as they arise and work with Fleet Coordinator in Service to find solutions that may help expedite delivery.
9. Communicate to customers about unexpected delivery delays and provide updates / ETA for units delayed in the PDI process (parts on order, backlog in shop, etc).
10. Setting up units and invoicing in SOD.
11. Co-ordinate with PTG U.S. all aspects of cross-border accounts.
12. Co-ordinate customer communication with Regional Customer Advocates.
13. Handle client special requests as needed.
14. Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean.
15. Follows all attendance and punctuality standards and adheres to timekeeping standards.
16. Follows the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
17. Understands and follows all work rules and follows lawful directions from Supervisors.
18. Upholds the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
19. Maintains a professional appearance for self and subordinates in accordance with company policy.
20. Attends pertinent training on request.
21. Attends company meetings as required.
F & I Manager Requirements:
1. Ability to understand, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect the new- and used-vehicle and finance departments.
2. Ability to facilitates and/or conduct technical training to other employees.
3. Computer proficiency.
4. Exceptional communication skills both oral and written with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication.
5. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
6. Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis.
7. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
8. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
9. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
10. Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures.
11. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
12. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
13. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
14. Ability to interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale of department, dealership and organization.
