Job Duties:
1. Provide support and guidance to primary school children with social, emotional, and mental health needs
2. Implement tailored strategies to assist students in managing their emotions and behaviour effectively
3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create a supportive environment for students
4. Monitor and assess the progress of students, adjusting interventions as necessary
5. Conduct individual and group sessions to promote positive mental health and well-being
Required Qualifications:
6. Experience working with children with social, emotional, and mental health needs
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
7. Demonstrated knowledge of child development and behaviour management techniques
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
10. Experience in implementing individualised support plans
Working Conditions:
This role involves working with children and may require evening shifts. The work environment is a residential primary school setting, which may include outdoor activities.
The successful applicant will receive the relevant training and support required to become part of our dedicated and innovative team. You will need to be flexible, working shifts between the hours 07:30 - 21:00, Monday to Friday, term time plus 5 CPD days.
An example shift could be:
Monday 14:00 - 21:00
Tuesday 07:30 - 09:30 / 12:00 - 21:00 with a break included
Wednesday 07:30 - 09:30 / 14:30 - 21:00
Thursday 07:30- 09:30 / 14:30 - 21:00
Friday 07:30- 15:00
Salary is based on annualised hours for weeks per year.
