Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Job you'll do
1. Non-conformance reporting, disposition of non-conformance reports, creation of customer concessions.
2. Verification and closure of remedial work, root cause analysis.
3. Customer deliverable documentation.
4. Preparation of test reports for delivered goods.
5. Upkeep of inspection & test plans for projects.
6. Conduct internal audits on business processes.
7. Creation and update of procedures, corrective/preventative action.
8. Governance of corrective & preventative action throughout the business.
9. Identify and execute corrective actions to resolve product & process issues.
10. Customer complaints.
11. Resolution of customer complaints.
12. Ensure compliance of specific manufacturing processes to ensure they are compliant and effective.
13. Deputise for colleagues and undertake related task.
14. Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the company's health & safety policy.
15. Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
About You
1. Experience of metrology and quality control is essential.
2. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 system certification and auditing.
3. Experience of CMM and NDT is advantageous but not essential.
4. Knowledge of materials, in particular metals and experience of using various national standards.
5. Knowledge of foundries, forges and fabrication shops.
6. Computer literate and able to work quickly and accurately with data.
7. Have the ability to host customer and 2nd part representatives during product verification visits and audits.
8. HNC mechanical minimum, I.Q.A with membership an advantage.
9. Full UK driving licence.
