Surveyor (Domestic Energy Assessor)
Location: Merthyr Tydfil – Hybrid,
Salary: £36,655 to £38,663 (Appointment at the bottom of the band)
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term (Temporary)
Hours of work: Full time – (30 hours – 4 Day Week)

As a DEA Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the energy efficiency and decarbonisation of our properties. You will be responsible for conducting Energy Assessments and issuing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) across our portfolio. Your work will involve performing detailed surveys to meet government legislation and housing standards, and collaborating with contractors and stakeholders to achieve our goal of Carbon Neutral Homes.
You will report to our Assets & Technical Manager and will be great at building strong working relationships with various internal and external partners such as our internal repairs teams, tenants & contractors.

We are seeking a passionate innovator who shares our values and is dedicated to designing and implementing decarbonisation plans. Our ideal candidate will have experience in property maintenance, domestic energy assessments, and an understanding of statutory requirements such as building regulations and compliance. You’ll need to hold a Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment and an understanding of PAS2030/35. While Elmhurst registration is preferred, we can support you in obtaining it if necessary.
A full UK driving license and your own vehicle are essential due to the nature of the role.
