The Workshop Technician role is available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks. The company offers comprehensive training and progression routes to field service and leadership/management roles.
The Workshop Technician role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. This could be an ideal move for automotive technicians or motor trade applicants looking for a change of industry. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.
As part of a team at a client’s site in Solihull, you’ll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown on a range of equipment including forklift trucks. You’ll order any spares when needed and communicate progress.
The Workshop Technician role in brief:
1. Diagnose, fault find and undertake preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.
2. Work on a Monday to Friday schedule: 6:00 - 14:30 or 14:30 - 23:00.
3. Order spares when necessary.
The Workshop Technician Person Required:
1. Experience on plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cars or similar equipment.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. IT literate.
4. Ideally, you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.
