JOB DETAILS
JOB TITLE: Classic Car Restoration Technician
HOURS: 5 days a week – Monday-Friday
REPORT TO: Directors/Workshop Manager
JOB SUMMARY
At Turner Classics, we specialise in Jaguars, but we deal with all makes and aspects of classic car restoration and preservation, whether this be engine rebuilding, servicing, mechanical overhauls, or bodywork and painting. You must, therefore, have superb attention to detail, work to the highest standards and be flexible in your approach to the tasks which you are undertaking.
As part of your responsibilities as a classic car restoration technician, you will identify and repair mechanical problems with the vehicle and perform routine maintenance, ensuring that vehicles are repaired to the highest standard.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES
1. General mechanic duties.
2. Maintain, service, and restore our client's classic cars to a high standard.
3. Carry out service and general mechanical repairs.
4. Report findings to the workshop manager.
5. Preserve and improve originality where required by the customer.
6. Maintain a safe, clean working area and follow all established safety guidelines per the Health and Safety handbook.
7. Complete work in a timely manner.
8. Complete other tasks as required by business needs.

Qualifications/Education: Willingness to work towards achievement.
1. A willingness to assist in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of a small, exciting business and to learn new skills.
Experience:
1. Experience working in a similar role within the motor/classic car restoration industry and able to carry out mechanical repair/restoration of classic and some modern vehicles to the highest standards.
2. Knowledge of diagnostics would be an advantage but not essential.
Skills/Knowledge:
1. Strong communication skills, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, strong work ethic, a team player, and must be punctual/organised.
2. Able to work independently with good time management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £15,309.00-£38,272.00 per year
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
