Purpose of the Role
Security and Customer Service Officers are responsible for following all client, site and company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of The Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff. This position is customer-facing and frontline and therefore requires the relevant license to fulfill the overall requirements. All staff are expected to be upstanding brand ambassadors, assist with the smooth running of the centre, and manage and assist all emergency situations and incidents. This includes providing visible security cover to the centre, handling enquiries and customer concerns, monitoring CCTV (by suitably trained and licensed staff), and monitoring contractors and deliveries to the centre. Holidays should not be booked at peak times of the year.
Key Responsibilities
* Work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment.
* Undertake regular patrols of the Centre as instructed by the Operations Manager.
* Carry out duties in accordance with instructions issued by the Operations Manager.
* Comply fully with Savills Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
* Ensure that the requirements of the Fire regulations are strictly complied with.
* Ensure that the Rules & Regulations of the Centre are always complied with.
* Record all incidents in the Daily occurrence book and via Savills Incident Reports.
* Ensure that contractors arriving on site adhere fully to Savills procedures for contractor management.
* Ensure that the centre is a safe and pleasant environment.
* Assist with enquiries from the public if required.
* Be aware of and abide by all rules, terms, and conditions of the company.
* In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security License, Door License, and where necessary, a Public Space Surveillance License (CCTV).
* The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* A valid SIA Licence.
* A valid CCTV Licence.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Customer/Client focused.
* Proven experience in Security or a relevant role (a minimum of 12 months), with Contractor management experience (preferred).
* Must be able to work under pressure and make decisive decisions during incidents and difficult situations.
* Basic computer literacy required.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to respond to issues in an effective and efficient manner.
Working Hours - 48 hours per week, 4 days, any time - days/nights/weekends
Salary - £11.64 per hour
