Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sportswear and grassroots sports, have a strong sales acumen and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for generating new business, building relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth across multiple sports for MOTiQ. The role will be primarily office-based in our Peterborough offices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within sports teams, clubs, and schools.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored MOTiQ solutions.
* Conduct sales presentations and negotiations to close deals.
* Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
* Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to align sales strategies with brand objectives.
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market opportunities.
* Represent MOTiQ at events and other promotional activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in sales, preferably in sportswear, apparel, or B2B sales.
* Strong hunter mentality with a track record of driving new business.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Passion for grassroots sports.
* Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools is a plus.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
