Hays are looking to speak to experienced Building Service Technicians for a large bank in Edinburgh.

You will be working for one of the largest banks in the UK, who, due to an increase in demand, are looking to add a fully qualified Building Services Technician, ideally from a mechanical background.
Your new role
Hays are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Services Technician to join a leading bank at their Edinburgh data centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the optimal performance of all building service systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
* Troubleshoot and repair any issues with building service systems to ensure minimal downtime.
* Monitor and manage building management systems (BMS) to ensure efficient operation.
* Coordinate with external contractors for specialised maintenance and repairs.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
* Assist in the planning and implementation of upgrades and improvements to building service systems.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be comfortable working on a day/back/night shift rota, which is worked out over a rolling 7-week period. There will be on call & additional options to increase your salary as dictated.
1. Proven experience as a Building Services Technician or similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
3. Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Relevant certifications or qualifications in building services or related fields.
