Link3 is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader to drive excellence in early years education while fostering a supportive and engaging environment for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor nursery staff, ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture.
Safeguarding & Compliance: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring child safety, staff compliance, and regular training to stay aligned with legislation.
Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting, monitor financial performance, and collaborate with the Director on strategies for profitability and cost efficiency.
Curriculum & Quality Assurance: Oversee a high-quality curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework, conducting mock Ofsted inspections for ongoing readiness.
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and implementing safety protocols.
Growth & Engagement: Develop strategies to increase occupancy through marketing and community outreach.
Staff Development: Support professional growth through training, effective delegation, and a culture of continuous learning.
Contingency Planning: Ensure coverage for staff absences, stepping into nursery rooms when needed to maintain smooth operations.
Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, uphold cleanliness standards, and manage funding submissions to the local council.
Parent & Community Relations: Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and external agencies to foster trust and collaboration.
Creating a Nurturing Environment: Organize engaging activities and events that promote a fun and enriching learning experience in line with the EYFS framework.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or in a similar leadership role within early childhood education.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent). A management qualification or degree in Early Years Education is advantageous.
Extensive knowledge of safeguarding policies and child protection with previous Designated Safeguarding Lead experience.
Financial management skills, including budgeting and cost-saving strategies.
Strong leadership, delegation, and team-building abilities.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with staff, parents, and community partners.
