About the Role
We are seeking a Deputy Crypto Manager to join the team. You will be responsible for supporting the Crypto Manager who leads on the provision and management of live and planned Cryptographic assets for all NSoIT(D) delivered capability.
The position is hybrid, requiring approximately two days per week at MOD Corsham. Candidates must hold DV clearance and be sole UK nationals.
Key Responsibilities
* To support the production, management and delivery of cryptographic plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution of tasks and dependencies are met.
* To support the ongoing management of those plans to achieve the delivery goals.
* To comply with organisational frameworks, ensuring adherence to current policies.
* To support the effective engagement with key stakeholders (including units, Front Line Commands, Cryptographic Services for Defence and UK National Distribution Agency) to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project.
* To operate as a member of the OpNET Service Operations team, supporting the project and programme as required.
* To support the project management of all aspects of assigned work packages.
* To work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all assigned aspects of the project assigned to Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of products.
* To support the production and maintenance of a detailed crypto management plan.
* To support the development of stakeholder relationship with suppliers; including preparation of joint plans; proposals and any associated design and build documentation.
* To support the completion of high-level plans through transition to live.
* The identification and implementation of continual service improvement activities regarding the cryptographic laydown and maintenance of knowledge of industry cryptographic standards.
* The production of routine and ad hoc reports and briefs as well as informing policy as required.
* To support the management of a diverse range of stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and interests.
* The management of available resources and knowledge to ensure a professional, expert, and consistent approach is maintained.
* To ensure appropriate use of project resources including engagement with commercial, technical, and financial subject matter experts to make effective and timely decisions.
* The preparation of maintenance schedules of activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements.
* To identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect products.
* To develop new ways of working for future solutions to be delivered, based on experience and knowledge.
* To support the upskilling of knowledge for new processes, change management and requirement for the development of new ways of working for future deliveries of new solutions.
Essential Experience & Skills
* MoD experience in a cryptographic management environment.
* Project management experience – Agile preferable.
* Experience of cryptographic capacity management, including demand management.
* Knowledge of the CAPS process and processes around the procurement of cryptographic devices from suppliers.
* Experience of the principles of a Crypto Net Controller.
* Experience of governance and risk control frameworks.
* Good communication skills, with ability to adapt to uncertainties and changing priorities.
* Experience of the production, management and maintenance of the programme and projects crypto plans.
* Must be DV cleared
