Personal Development Coordinator
Location: Rotherham
Salary: A£24,249 FTE (Pro-rata A£21,451.04) per annum + benefits
Hours: Full time (37hrs per week, working 40 weeks per year)

The Role
The role of Personal Development Coordinator is an exciting position where each day brings something different. The role sits within their Student Support and Safeguarding team and will be based at Rotherham College, part of the RNN Group. You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of an exciting and engaging programme of personal development activities and events for College learners to enhance their College experience.
As a Personal Development Coordinator, your key duties will include creating a comprehensive programme of personal development and physical health activities available to all learners. You will work closely with learners to explore key topics and themes, including physical health, wellbeing, and all-round personal development. In this role, you will organise, coordinate, and deliver events that develop essential life skills, personal wellbeing, and promote active lifestyles through sports and physical activities. These will include learning opportunities that encourage healthy living and physical wellbeing.
You will build effective partnerships with external organisations, who will provide guest speaker delivery and lead on learner voice activity linking to themed weeks. Typical themed weeks include: Safeguarding Week, Financial Wellbeing, Mental Health Week, and weeks throughout the year for sport such as AoC Sport Regional Tournaments.
Skills and Qualifications
1. You will have experience of working within an educational environment, ideally within a Further Education/Post-16 environment. Working as a team, you will be responsible for organising, coordinating, promoting, and delivering events to develop essential life and personal skills of learners.
2. This role will give you the opportunity to utilise your event management skills by planning and executing a wide range of activities, workshops, and events. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event logistics, from liaising with external partners to ensuring smooth delivery on the day. Your ability to engage with students, manage resources, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders will be key in creating impactful and enriching experiences for their learners.
3. You will have qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, and experience in facilitating events. You will also be able to demonstrate good customer service skills and be able to work with respect and confidentiality.
Department Info
The role of Personal Development Coordinator will work within a team on site and with colleagues in similar positions across other RNN Group campuses to provide a consistent approach to events, delivery, and offerings. You will report to the Student Support Team Leader and work closely with colleagues in the Student Support teams onsite. You will also liaise with curriculum managers and tutors to ensure learners access appropriate personal development opportunities for their individual learner journey.
