SEN Teaching Assistant – (Barnet) – Immediate Start
A highly respected SEN school in Barnet (JCoSS) is looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who is confident supporting students with challenging behaviours and additional learning needs.
The successful applicant will:
✔ Be comfortable working with students who display challenging behaviours
✔ Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism and ADHD
✔ Use de-escalation strategies and behaviour management techniques to promote engagement
✔ Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement individual learning plans
✔ Have a patient, resilient, and positive attitude towards learning and behaviour support
✔ Build trusting relationships with students to help them develop both academically and personally

Requirements:
Previous experience as an SEN TA or Behaviour Mentor is preferred but nor required
Confident working with students with challenging behaviours
Knowledge of SEN strategies, Autism, and ADHD support is an advantage
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to apply for one)
