Purchase Ledger Clerk
Salary: Up to £26,000
Location: Barnsley, S73
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30-5 & Friday 8:30-4
We are currently recruiting for a successful business based in the S73 area of Barnsley.
Our client is looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who will take responsibility of the day-to-day transactions within accounts payable, plus varied duties including VAT returns, and expenses.

Key responsibilities:
8. Purchase ledger responsibilities including coding PL invoices
9. Sending invoices for authorisation
10. Balancing statements
11. Posting payments and direct debits (multiple currencies)
12. Bank reconciliations
13. General ledger account housekeeping
14. Supporting with month-end processes
15. Checking and processing expenses
16. VAT Returns
17. Providing support to the wider Finance team
Requirements:
18. Recent experience within an accounts / finance position
19. IT literate e.g. Microsoft office suites
20. Organisational skills
21. Team player with good communication skills
22. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
23. Previous experience with Sage / Concur would be advantageous
