Junior Payroll Officer - 12 months fixed-term contract
We are currently recruiting a Junior Payroll Officer for 12 months | fixed-term contract, for our Belfast office.
Within a team, you will have the following responsibilities:
* Preparing a portfolio of approximately 35 monthly UK payrolls ranging from 1 to 80 employees.
* Accurately processing payroll information i.e. starters/leavers/pension auto-enrolment/payrolling of benefits/fixed & variable inputs.
* Setting up net salary/PAYE & third party payments.
* Managing the submission of pension contributions to a range of pension providers.
* Submission of RTI monthly filings to HMRC.
* Perform monthly reconciliation of clients HMRC PAYE account.
* Liaise with HMRC on client queries where applicable.
* Liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis via email or calls, responding to payroll queries.
* Work closely with the payroll team as well as other service teams – Tax/Accounts/Co-Sec.
* Attend on-the-job technical payroll training.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
* Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
* High levels of commitment to both on-the-job development and study towards professional qualifications.
* Valid work permit for the UK.
