SOC Level 3 Analyst / Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Leeds, United Kingdom (5 days on-site)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SOC Level 3 Analyst / Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in firewall technologies, including Check Point, Fortinet, and potentially Palo Alto, to ensure our organisation's cyber defenses are robust and responsive. This role is well-suited for a Professional Services Engineer transitioning into a Support Analyst role, offering the opportunity to leverage your engineering skills in a dynamic SOC environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and monitor firewall and network security solutions, including Check Point, Fortinet, and potentially Palo Alto.
* Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues and incidents while ensuring continuous availability and performance of the security infrastructure.
* Provide advanced threat detection, incident response, and proactive remediation of cybersecurity risks.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain security solutions.
* Ensure compliance with organisational security policies and industry regulations.
* Act as a key member of the SOC team, contributing to the protection of business-critical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Must-have experience with Check Point Firewall (FW) technologies.
* Must-have experience with Check Point Maestro FW technologies.
* Must-have experience with Fortinet Firewall (FW) technologies.
* Experience with Palo Alto Firewall technologies is nice to have.
Desired Certifications:
* Vendor qualifications in Check Point (nice to have).
* Vendor qualifications in Fortinet FW technologies (nice to have).
* Vendor qualifications in Palo Alto FW technologies (nice to have).
