The Team We have exciting opportunities for Senior Associates to join the new Critical Third Parties (CTP) Oversight team within the Technology, Resilience and Cyber department (TRC) at the FCA. Under the Financial Services Markets Act (FSMA) 2023, the FCA will be taking on joint responsibility with PRA and the Bank of England (BOE) for overseeing the operational resilience of CTPs. This is a high-profile area of work that is central to the FCA’s strategic commitment to minimise the impact of operational disruptions on the financial services industry and advance our secondary objective by contributing to a more stable financial system. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in overseeing the resilience of the services CTPs, provide to the financial services sector. What you will be doing We are looking for talented individuals who can contribute to setting the way regulators oversee CTPs in the new regime, particularly at a time of rapid technology change and increasing cyber threats. Once the CTPs are designated, alongside the BoE and the PRA, you will be work within a blended team of FCA supervisors and operational resilience specialists in shaping the Oversight Strategy for those entities on how they are performing against our rules and expectations with a focus on their operational resilience and the systemic risk they pose to the UK Financial Sector Working in collaboration with others across TRC and wider FCA in carrying analysing and producing content throughout the annual CTP oversight cycle Support and contribute meetings with senior managers (e.g., CISOs, CIOs and COOs) from CTPs on the resilience of their services, and influence and the desired outcomes Support, shape and drive the content for briefings, internal papers and contribute to speeches for FCA seniors and external reports Work closely with a range of stakeholders, including across HM Treasury, BoE, and the PRA What you will get from the role This is an opportunity to make a significant difference.
