An opportunity has arisen within The Hewitt Fertility Centre at the Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust, for a Booking and Scheduling Clerk, working part time 18 hours per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays, the candidate must be a bright, committed, and enthusiastic individual. You would be working within a rapidly developing service and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. A background within a Booking and Scheduling role is essential. Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for, undertaking booking and scheduling of all patient clinic appointments within the Hewitt Fertility Centre, communicating the information to the patients by the most appropriate method dependent upon the service / treatment arranged NHS IVF appointments, Andrology appointments, etc.Oversee a scheduling and booking appointment service for patients and clinicians ensuring wait time targets are adhered to and all capacity is efficiently used. Ensure accurate and timely data collection. Advising the Operational management team where over or under capacity issues exist and to suggest ways of addressing these. Register all NHS patients and prepare patient files, including Transport and Satellite patients, entering demographic data on Patient Access Systems (PAS) Digicare and IDEAS. Distribute or file patient information coming into the reception office as required. Help maintain the Hewitt Centre's case note filing system and ensure all notes are correctly tracked within, into and out of the reception office. Timely and accurate cancellation of clinics and appropriate re-scheduling of appointments.
Working pattern will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Booking and Scheduling Team Leader, in providing a welcoming and efficient reception service for all visitors to the Hewitt Fertility Centre, supporting a full appointment booking service for NHS Patients. This entails a wide-ranging understanding of the administrative arrangements within the Unit and associated Centres. The potholder is also responsible for the management and monitoring of efficient clinical pathways to meet the Infertility Referral to Treatment (RTT) targets and the provision of information and support to clinicians regarding patient pathway management within the Unit.
Working pattern for successful candidate will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays .

Essential
1. Understanding of confidentiality, Data Protection and Caldicott principles
2. Extensive knowledge of NHS waiting lists & pathway management requirements and procedures
3. Excellent level of numeracy and literacy skills
4. Able to communicate clearly both in verbal and written communications.
5. Good keyboard & PC skills
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel
7. Organised & methodical with an attention to detail.

18. Hold/currently working towards or willing to undertake a professional qualification in leadership at diploma or Certificate level
Experience
Essential
19. At least 3 years' experience of working in a Patient Contact Centre Environment in the NHS or other healthcare provider
20. Supervisory experience of at least 1 year providing day to day supervision of a team of staff
21. Experience of staff management including sickness absence management, appraisal/personal development reviews
22. Experience of undertaking recruitment and selection
23. Experience of developing policies and task specific standard operating procedures.
24. Ability to resolve conflict and complaints at source.
25. Experience of providing a service to Private Patients
