We're looking for a part time Procurement Coordinator to manage the purchasing of non-production consumables, supplies, and subcontracted services to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you'll be expected to uphold the highest ethical standards, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions with employees, colleagues, suppliers, and customers. Based at our clients Tewkesbury site, this role reports directly to the Group Purchasing Manager. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Director, Production Manager, and Account Managers to ensure seamless procurement and supply chain operations. The role will be on site, Monday to Friday, 25 - 30 hours per week. How you work that is open to discussion and will be flexible. The basic salary will be prorated, the company offers a pension, company bonus and 25 days holiday, prorated. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the purchasing of supplies to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. Supplier Negotiations: Secure the best possible terms with suppliers to optimize cost and quality. Monitor and manage the timely delivery of purchased goods to maintain production efficiency. Act as the vital link between suppliers and production departments to align demand and delivery schedules within budget constraints. Work with the Group Purchasing Manager and Account Managers to execute precise procurement of critical raw materials. Ensure all purchase orders meet technical requirements and receive appropriate approvals. Monitor order acknowledgements and expedite deliveries to meet operational time lines. Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules and supplier data within the company's business system Work with stores, packing, and dispatch teams to arrange deliveries and collections efficiently. Identify and support initiatives to improve procurement processes and overall efficiency. Perform other related tasks as required by senior management. Essential: knowledge of purchasing practices, techniques, and supplier management. High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other relevant software. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
