As our Change and Release Analyst you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of software and system changes, ensuring minimal disruption to services and compliance with organisational standards. You will work with various internal and external stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute software releases. In addition you will analyse the impact of changes, assess risks, and monitor the post-release environment. You must be confident in collating data and presenting to our managed service customers.
This position works typical office hours, however, there may be a need for occasional after hours and some potential weekend work where required.
Some of the responsibilities of this role will involve;
* Planning and Coordination: Assessing existing release processes, developing release plans, and coordinating with development, testing, and production teams.
* Release Execution: Managing the release lifecycle deployment of changes, ensuring adherence to schedules and procedures. Set up schedules to remotely deploy and validate then report on the outcomes.
* Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with changes, including potential impact on services and systems. Taking ownership of the overall change roadmaps and identify potential clashes and upcoming areas for concern
* Documentation and Communication: Maintaining documentation of changes, releases, and associated processes, and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders throughout.
* Post-Release Analysis: Monitoring the environment after releases, and reporting deployment success/failure rate.
* Process Improvement: Contributing to the ongoing improvement of change and release management processes ensuring alignment with industry best practice.
Person Specification:
* Ability to translate key information into roadmaps
* Present to internal stakeholders
* Familiarity with release management tools
* Experience on how to plan, execute and track changes
* Analyse and troubleshoot issues
* Identify risk and trends and make recommendation for improvements.
* Excellent organisational skills
* Understanding of Devops ITIL Frameworks is desirable
