Job Description VP Planning & Control – Trent XWB Value Stream Flexible working patterns considered Derby / Hybrid 3 days on-site What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated leader to join the Trent XWB Commercial Aviation Value Stream team as Vice President Planning & Control. With over 600 aircraft in service and a growing orderbook of 1300 aircraft, the Trent XWB Value Stream covers the full scope of activity for both engines in service and development. The Trent XWB engine portfolio delivers a significant portion of Civil Aerospace engine and aftermarket profit through successful execution of the operational plan and delivery of strategic initiatives. This provides a unique opportunity to develop business breadth and play a pivotal role in delivering Rolls-Royce’s financial commitments. This position, reporting to the Senior Vice President - Fleet Management, will be critical in driving value stream (supplier to customer) on time delivery performance to enable robust fleet operations and the attainment of Trent XWB financial goals. Working across the full span of Civil Manufacturing Operations, Procurement and Aftermarket Operations teams, this role will lead activity related to balancing, optimising, and improving Trent XWB new parts demand and supply. The location of the role is predominately Derby with travel on occasion, largely in the UK. We are open to discussing flexibility on geographical location and explore what’s possible for the role. Responsibilities: Lead the team to ensure the operational drive across the business can credibly execute the value stream operational and financial plans, ensuring the best possible customer and business outcome for Rolls-Royce Lead new parts delivery improvement activity for the Value Stream, confirming robust rate and recovery plans are in place and activities are integrated across the end-to-end supply chain Work with the Procurement, Manufacturing & Aftermarket Operations teams to ensure that short and medium term supply chain risks are appropriately identified, understood, and mitigated to prevent all customer disruption whilst optimising working capital Develop and drive a standard approach to ensure root cause analysis is completed for demand and supply failures, and subsequent systemic improvement activities defined and implemented Support the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning Process (SIOP) for the Value Stream, resolving demand/ supply imbalances, so they include the broadest solutions to optimise the balance of supply and demand (including repair and serviceable material and engineering driven solutions). Lead appropriate governance across the Value Stream to ensure agreed plans are maintained and delivered and 5YP targets are achieved Lead and develop a team of Planning & Control professionals to maximise professional development and performance.
