You will join us on a full-time basis (hybrid working available) and in return we can offer a salary c.£50,000 to £55,000 p.a. dependent on experience, plus benefits.

About the Finance Manager role:
We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our team, based in Cambridge. Working closely with and reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will lead a small team and be responsible for ensuring that financial reporting information produced by the College is timely, transparent and accurate, to enable clear financial management of the College. This is a vital role which will provide both support to the Director of Finance, together with operational management of key parts of the College's Finance services, resulting in the delivery of efficient services to support the College vision.
You will be responsible for the development of the College finance system and reporting, Sales ledger/Sales Ledger Admin, Purchase Ledger and the month-end process. To be considered for this pivotal role you will be a finance professional and will be CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPFA qualified or equivalent with experience of successfully managing financial functions and working with devolved budget holders. The College will also consider applications from experienced part-qualified accountants and Accounting Technicians. You should be able to demonstrate strong management and leadership skills which empower staff to perform to their full potential and drive financial awareness and improvement across the organisation.
You will have drive and ambition and the ability to work both independently when required and to bring the team together to achieve objectives. You should have a strong commercial awareness, be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and ideally you will have previous experience of developing and assisting in the delivery of financial training.
It is essential that you have the ability and interest to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the department.
