Our client is a large-sized Building Services contractor with multiple offices across the UK, specializing in Mechanical & Electrical Building Design. Your new role:
1. Working within a BIM/REVIT team, you will be responsible for generating quality, accurate, and detailed records of Building Services engineering project documentation, working within the requirements of the project BIM execution plan.
2. You will produce 2D layouts/schematics using AutoCAD as well as 3D BIM models, generating 2D/3D layouts/sections/schematics, to include information modeling using Revit MEP; as well as clash detection using Navisworks.
3. Setup drawings and make them ready for the team to work on.
4. Review project files for compliance with standards/protocols.
5. Implement best practice procedures.
6. Assist Engineers in drawing production.
7. Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
8. Coordinate drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines.
9. Help to technically deliver BIM/CAD projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination.
10. Create clash detection reports and resolve issues with the support of the Engineering Team.
11. Family creation and input for developing standard details and procedures.
12. Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team.
What you'll need to succeed:
1. Proficiency with software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks - examples of work will be requested at interview.
2. An understanding of the requirement for building services coordination - working to have knowledge of BS 1992, PAS 1192, and BS8541.
3. Previous experience working in a Building Services consultancy environment.
4. Familiar with assurance processes, codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation.
5. Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance.
6. Positive outlook and self-motivated.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
