Our client is looking for a multi-skilled engineer based at their site in Waltham Abbey
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be an integral part of the operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our concrete block manufacturing equipment as well as the Site.
Pay Salary £19.38 per hour based on a 45 hour week ( Paid Breaks) £24.38 Per Hour for any hours worked after 6pm £27.08 Overtime rate Shifts Monday to Friday Hours to be worked between 12pm and 11pm (9 hour shifts) Job Description Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules. Improve and maintain production processes or services within buildings. Design and implement cost effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and manage people, projects, and resources. Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs. Discuss and resolve complex problems with manufacturing areas. Liaise with contractors and sub-contractors. Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques. Plan and design new production processes Produce details of specifications and designs Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time restraints. Respond promptly to any reported faults or break downs. Liaise with other professionals, within and outside of the engineering sector. Monitor and commission plant and systems. Ensure all engineering works are carried out in accordance with company legislation. Carry out risk assessments for all engineering works as required. Supporting/ mentoring engineers as required. Any other reasonable duties that are required by the company. Requirements Fully qualified, 2365/2357 or equivalent 18th edition. ECS Gold Card (not essential). Testing and Inspection 2392 or equivalent. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage. Ability to work in a team and communicate with back-office staff. Organised and a good timekeeper. Surveying buildings where electrical systems are installed. Drafting electrical installation plans and technical diagrams Installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing all electrical systems in both the offices and factory buildings. Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations. Supervising ongoing electrical system installations and providing technical expertise to the maintenance team where needed. Using blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation manuals to complete projects. Completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job. Identifying electrical problems and repairing them. Advising the companys management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards. Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment. Help maintain mechanical/pneumatic/ hydraulic systems within the factory.
