Position: Early Years Officer - fixed term until 29/08/2025
Location: Tynecastle Nursery School
Salary: £32,010 - £37,626
Hours: 36 per week
Tynecastle Nursery is housed within Tynecastle Stadium in a beautiful, purpose built nursery space. Opened originally in 1929, the new nursery continues to be highly regarded within the community. The nursery benefits from a rich social and cultural mix of families and its diversity is one of its main strengths. A highly skilled, dynamic and motivated staff team support the children and families. The nursery is registered for 55 children aged 2-5 years.
We are now seeking to recruit an Early Years Officer to work with us on a fixed term basis from January to August 2025. The successful candidate will be required to work shift patterns within the setting, between the hours of 0745hrs and 1800hrs, Monday - Friday, with some late shifts on rotation.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
