Position Summary Senior Analyst –Infrastructure Operations - Capacity Planning & Monitoring specialist- Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited Work you'll do As a Monitoring Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and optimizing the capacity of an organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and resources. The primary focus will be to monitor performance metrics, predict future resource demands, and ensure optimal utilization to meet business needs. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including system administrators, database administrators, and network engineers, to ensure efficient resource allocation and scalability & efficient resource allocation and scalability. Prepare SLA tracker dashboard, analysis of past trends and predict future forecast. Implement and manage monitoring tools and systems to capture performance metrics, resource utilization, and system behavior. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, and products. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as CPU, memory, disk, network, application performance, storage devices, controllers, interconnects, utilization. Identify capacity trends, anomalies, and potential bottlenecks to proactively address resource constraints and plan for future growth. Monitor the network, client health dashboards and overall operational status of network devices with tools like SolarWinds, HPNAS, AppNeta, Cisco DNAC, Cisco Thousand Eyes. Capacity Reporting and Performance Analysis: Use historical data, trends, and growth projections to forecast resource requirements and plan for capacity upgrades and expansions. Analyze resource utilization patterns and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements. Ensure optimal performance delivery by identifying network bottlenecks. Conduct capacity assessments and capacity planning exercises to determine current and future resource needs Resource Optimization and Efficiency: Analyze resource utilization patterns and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements. Collaborate with infrastructure and system teams to optimize resource allocation and ensure proper scaling and right-sizing. Support day-to-day operational needs of the internal network infrastructure. Participate in Change Management, by analyzing the Risk and Impact to Business. Evaluate existing resources, networks current performance metrics, and assess potential changes in demand Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Years of Experience: 4-6 Technical Skills: Strong background on Capacity, Circuit Planning, Reporting & Optimization Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networks, and virtualization technologies. Proficiency in data analysis and capacity forecasting techniques using statistical methods, modeling, and trend analysis. Familiarity with performance monitoring and profiling tools for analyzing system and application performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot performance and capacity-related issues. Core Competencies Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and capacity planning in cloud environments is a plus. Experience with capacity planning and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, HPNAS, AppNeta, Cisco DNAC, Cisco Thousand Eyes or similar solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Basic understanding of networking concepts, L1 - L7 protocols. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies and trends in capacity planning and monitoring.
