Job Description
The Product team sits within the SPM department, responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle management of the Asset Management product ranges in support of the SPM's purpose.
The Strategic Projects team is a sub-team of Product, responsible for all aspects of product strategy & development and ongoing product management of Asset Management's private markets funds and products, working across a range of alternative investment capabilities including Real Estate, Private Credit, Infrastructure, Venture Capital and Private Equity.
What you'll be doing:
* Product design and delivery: Manage the design and delivery of product initiatives to agreed timescales and budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, mitigating operational and legal risk, and aligning with corporate strategy.
* Project management: Scope and design product changes or launches, using effective tools to document key milestones, identify risks, and coordinate SMEs across the business.
* Product governance and compliance: Ensure adherence to Product policies and procedures, maintaining awareness of regulatory-required product governance rules.
* Product reviews: Regularly assess management and delivery of product risk, identifying opportunities for enhancements or closures.
* Product technical support: Provide technical support on regulatory, tax, and operational matters related to existing products.
* Operational engagement: Involve relevant operational areas in decision-making processes around new product launches.
* Competitors and industry: Analyze customer, industry, and regulatory activity to inform proposition design.
* Relationship building: Develop close working relationships with stakeholders and service providers.
* Regulatory and product knowledge: Maintain knowledge of products and private markets product structures, discussing regulatory guidelines as needed.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
* Degree qualified or equivalent required
* Professional qualifications such as IMC, CFA, CAIA or similar highly desirable
* PRINCE2, Agile or another project management accreditation desirable
* Detailed knowledge of the international asset management industry and private markets products is essential
* Strong understanding of private markets regulation (particularly AIFMD)
* Experience in private markets product strategy, development and management
* Product life cycle management experience
* Experience in stakeholder engagement and project management
* High attention to detail and commitment to continual improvement
