An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Support Apprentice to join the Kent County Council’s Financial Hardship Programme.
This apprenticeship position offers you the opportunity to earn a salary and obtain a nationally recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience working with the Financial Hardship Programme within the County Council.
We will support the successful candidate over an 18-month placement period, to achieve a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification to enable you to develop administration, customer-handling, oral communication and IT skills.
Position Details
This is a fixed-term, full-time position, working in a hybrid format, with the base being Invicta House, Maidstone. As a team, we are committed to providing a flexible approach to when, where and how our team works.
This role will provide administrative and business support to the programme and its variety of projects and schemes, supporting residents in financial hardship. We are looking for someone who is driven, can use initiative, and is keen to learn.
Effective communication is essential for this role, involving regular phone interactions with residents and key stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes going out into the community on occasion to support and interact with residents at events or workshops.
You should enjoy working as part of a team, but also have the capability of working independently whilst at home.

Salary: Starting salary of £18,000 per annum which is equivalent to £9.33 per hour. Upon successful completion of the probation period, your salary will increase to £23,337 per annum.
