In this role you will be responsible for holding key customer relationships within the appointed territories, working with multiple General Sales Agents (GSAs) and Virgin Cargo Teams with support from head office functions to maximise the cargo online and offline capacity on Virgin Atlantic's operations. Day to day Ensures the sales process is focused on actively seeking and maintaining current and additional sources of revenue Update the GSA's on any product/service changes and sales opportunities Acts as the customer relationship holder for VAC in the territories Support the import sales effort in terms of service scope, quality and customer relationships Creates and implements sales and marketing plans. Ensuring the sales policies align with the strategic commercial direction of the Cargo division Implement a pricing strategy to ensure that Virgin Atlantic Cargo remains competitive in the market and maximises revenue at all times In conjunction with Head Office and the Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for the local planning, organising and effective measurement of promotional activities in the region Maintain a close working relationship with commercial functions to ensure the sales strategy for the region will maximise revenue and contribution for the sales territory Ensures all joint venture sales activity follows agreed strategy and protocols Monitor all agreed KPI targets across appointed territories Manages the departmental overhead budget and provide input into the territory's annual and re-forecast revenue budgets Key collaborator with Procurement in the tender process, final selection and implementation of Virgin Atlantic Cargo's general sales agent appointments within the European and Middle East regions Responsible for the ongoing performance management of all Virgin Atlantic Cargo's GSAs for the above regions, including measurement against budget targets and implementation of appropriate remedial actions, including a key role in decisions surrounding contract termination for non-performance Evaluate Business as Usual activities to drive process efficiency and consistency Represent Virgin Atlantic Cargo at local and overseas functions, trade fairs, fam. trips, business seminars and conferences About you Do you have proven cargo experience held within a major airline? Have you operated at a management level encompassing a range of functions with a strong emphasis on sales, including marketing, customer service, revenue accounting, finance, and operations?
