The successful candidates will have substantial academic and clinical experience in Occupational Therapy practice, with an in-depth understanding of the specialism that enables the development of new knowledge. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions and effectively plan and prioritise their own workload and that of others. The role requires experience in leading a team in a busy academic environment and the ability to share your knowledge effectively with learners. Experience in leading or collaborating on research and enterprise projects is preferred. It will also be advantageous for the successful candidate to demonstrate experience in establishing external partnerships and possess external recognition. Key Responsibilities: Support teaching and learning activities across the Occupational Therapy and pre-registration Master’s portfolio, using research-informed teaching strategies. Give considerable input into the design, delivery of innovative teaching sessions using a wide variety of pedagogical techniques Provide personal tutoring, mentor training, research supervision, and academic and placement support for students and clinical partners. Play an active role in the recruitment of students. Provide professional Occupational Therapy leadership to colleagues within the College. Grow and develop the Occupational Therapy subject across aligned provision at BCU. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Educated to Honours Degree level. Previous academic experience in Higher Education. Hold, or be working towards, Masters or Doctorate awards. Evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development.
